We wanted some way to let our customers know about the cool products we find, interesting new services we deliver, and cool websites and software we run across. So we created our own company blog where we can all post!
> SabreTech Going Global?!
September 25th, 2009
Over the last 18 months or so, we have been working on some specialized systems that control manufacturing machines and medical equipment. The machines have been a hit and are really starting to take off. The coolest thing about it, we have machines in many different countries across the world, not to mention in probably half of the states in the US. To us at SabreTech, that is pretty cool that systems from us are being delivered and used across the world! Just a little more proof that we are a lot more than your “small town” computer store!!!

The move is complete! Our new location is at 154 Lewis St in Hillsdale, so please stop by and see us.

It took one long weekend to move in, and another week to start feeling at home, but now we’re loving it. Traffic so far has been great, so thanks again to those who have popped in to say hi already. Once the weather gets a little better we’ll do an open house so we can get everyone out to see us. We’ll grill some dogs and give you the tour!

> Have a New Vista Machine?? Let us Help!
May 19th, 2008
Well service pack one has been out for Vista for around a month now. Even with service pack one though vista still has some bugs to work out, and of course it still runs slow "right out of the box". At SabreTech we have found some things that will help make your new Vista machine run like a new machine.
1. Remove any programs that you don't use that came from the manufacturer, i.e., Dell Pre-installed Software.
2. Turn off that annoying "do you want to continue box", which is actually called user account control. To do that; hit the start button, in the search box type in user accounts, when the search box brings up the user accounts in the start menu click on it. Once user accounts opens, click on "Turn User Account Control on or off". Uncheck the "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer" box, then hit OK. Of course windows will ask you to continue one more time and then for a reboot. Reboot your computer and that will no pop up again.
3. This is probably the biggest thing that will speed up Vista, however you will lose the 3D look of Vista. Right click on "Computer" and go to properties. Once the system page opens click on "Advanced System Settings" on the right hand side. Then you will see three different headings on the "Advanced" tab. Under the "Performance" heading click the settings box. On the "Performance Options" window that pops up, on the "Visual Effects" tab, select the radial button next to "Adjust for best performance". Hit apply and ok. After that Vista has a more familiar look and will run a lot faster.
OF COURSE YOU COULD JUST BRING THE COMPUTER DOWN TO SABRETECH AND WE WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO DO THIS ALL FOR YOU!!!> Firedog and Geeksquad, a joke

> A nice Mac setup how-to
August 15th, 2007
I just started writing a nice little how-to on setting up a Mac fresh out of the packaging, or even re-setting one up that you had to replace the harddrive on, or are just not happy with the way it runs anymore…
> I just have to get this program :-)
